About

I see the potential for great photographic images everywhere.

“Photography has been a significant part of my life since my father introduced me to cameras, film developing and printing when I was young. I see the potential for great photographic images everywhere. The challenge is to transfer my enthusiasm for a subject to the viewer through the photographic process.”

Adrian lived in the UK until his early twenties then moved to Southern California for the next twenty years before settling in New Zealand in 2002.

“I have diverse interests. I studied horticulture and pursued a career in Arboriculture and still retain an affnity with trees and the landscape.
I took classes on photographic technique and visual arts. I have enjoyed uncountable hours with music and motorcycles. I keep up with the general science journals–the study of the natural world. We have had dogs and now just have a dog.”

Adrian lives with his partner, Joan, in the beautiful Whangarei Heads area of Northland New Zealand. They live on a large section surrounded by native bush and they maitain a small olive grove which produces several varieties of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Adrian has completed many varied pieces of work for the Department of Conservation, ranging from scientific maps and diagrams, through to science posters for presentation at conferences and engaging material designed for members of the public. Adrian is always a pleasure to work with, listening well to the brief and delivering material that surpasses expectation in terms of both quality and timeliness. He has an excellent eye for detail, but is also very good at ensuring that the output is well-targeted and has a wow-factor where required.
